He is widely known for his Brahms' Lullaby; the melody is one of the most famous and recognizable in the world, used by countless parents to sing their babies to sleep. His reputation and status as a composer is such that he is sometimes grouped with Johann Sebastian Bach and Ludwig van Beethoven as one of the "Three Bs" of music.
